My Teachers

I am fortunate to have had so many wonderful people in my life – for one second or the duration of my life – they have all shaped who I am today. While I now journey with many people who I feel very moved by and a deep love for, the following three people have each had, and continue to have, a profound impact on my life:

Judith Moore – I met Judith when I was a young child – her love for animals and the kindness with which she treated them was magnificent to me. She inspired learning playfully and shone light on the beauty of the world. Despite our current differences, I will always be grateful for her impact on my ever-growing love of nature, especially horses.

Henk Nooren – Henk was my trainer for the greater part of my riding career. I admired his dedication and his continuous desire to improve himself, his students and the horses he worked with. He had an unyielding commitment to do whatever was necessary to succeed. His capacity for focus and patience was always inspiring to me. My working relationship with Henk ended with, I believe, a mutual respect and understanding for each other. It was a turning point for me in my life and from it I gained a deeper understanding of myself – for which I am ever grateful.

Keith Raniere – Keith is my teacher and my best friend. My life is so profoundly different from when I first met him words can’t describe my gratitude. The depth of his caring for the individual people, with whom he works, as well as humanity collectively, is remarkable to me. His dedication to helping people experience more joy in their lives through self discovery and understanding has been an incredible gift to so many of us. Through his ongoing commitment to live an ethical existence, dedicated to doing what is right for all of humanity, he continues to inspire me.

I will write about many injustices on this blog and much of my education to the nature of injustice comes from my own experience of watching, and at times being part of, the terrible injustice to Keith Raniere. Keith has compassionately helped me to understand the nature of violence and its origin - fear. Through my sister, Sara and I’s foundation and it’s initiative the World Ethical Foundations Consortium I hope to transform many injustices existing in the world, including bringing to light the truth regarding Keith Raniere.
